Asphalt
Machine-placed asphalt is the core of the business. We place it on subdivision roads before the first house is occupied, on intersections carrying twenty thousand vehicles a day, on courts where a millimetre out of tolerance changes how the ball bounces, and on driveways where the owner will look at the joint every day for fifteen years.
The work runs from site establishment and base compaction, through proof roll and tack coating, to paving, handwork around kerbs and services, compaction and quality assurance testing. Haulage from plant to site is coordinated as part of the package, so the mix arrives at temperature and the paver does not stop. Deep lift, intermediate and wearing course; dense graded, open graded and fine mixes to suit the specification.
Where we place it: road construction and rehabilitation, subdivision and residential road networks, intersection upgrades and widening in live traffic, carparks, hardstands and access roads, sporting and court pavements to fine surface tolerance, and residential driveways.
Every job carries inspection and test requirements set during planning: hold points, verification activities, compaction testing and documented sign-off under our ISO 9001 certified system. The records go to you, not into a filing cabinet.
Recent work includes 4,200 tonnes of deep lift and wearing course across the Stromlo subdivision in Canberra, and 900 tonnes beneath a spray sealed surface across eight netball courts and a basketball court at Googong, held to one millimetre for competition play.
