Majura Park Intersection Upgrade

Construction of a larger, improved intersection servicing the Majura Park shopping precinct in Canberra: new turn and slip lanes, a repositioned head of intersection and new centre lanes, in a live, high-traffic environment with significant public interface.

The challenge was never the paving. It was keeping vehicles and pedestrians moving safely through a working intersection while it was rebuilt around them. That meant complex traffic staging across multiple shifts and several separate visits, coordination of service relocations and utility protection works, and detailed programming to minimise disruption to the surrounding businesses.

Around 1,200 tonnes of asphalt placed to specification, with profiling, tack coating, machine paving, handwork, compaction and testing delivered by our own crew, and haulage coordinated so the mix arrived at temperature on every shift.
